The American Cancer Society will honor Terri Merlino, Chief Credit Risk Officer at Freddie Mac, with the Hope Award in recognition of her support of our mission.
Terri has been a cancer survivor since 2004, and has had many family members who have been touched by cancer including her mother-in-law, father, brother, sister, and beloved lab, Honey. She found the American Cancer Society in 2005, and has been an active volunteer since. She has served on and chaired various committees and boards including the Relay For Life of Medford and the South Jersey Board of Advisors. Terri was also one of the Founding Chairs of the Hope Gala.
Her career in the mortgage industry spans over 25 years in a variety of Risk, Operational and Capital Markets roles at PHH, New Penn Financial and currently at Freddie Mac. She was named to Housing Wire Women of Influence in 2014 and 2016. She lives in Marlton, NJ with her husband of 35 years, Greg, and their lab, Brandy. Terri and Greg have three children- Dante, who is pursuing his MD/PhD at Jefferson Hospital; Alex, who is a Speech Language Pathologist at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital; and Lauren, who is completing her senior year at the University of Pittsburgh.
Terri has personally helped to secure close to $500,000 during her career as a volunteer by lending her time, talent, and resources to our cause. We are so grateful for Terri’s passion and are thrilled to honor her as a survivor and dedicated Hope Gala supporter!
For more than a 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before.
